About our pumpkins.

Our pumpkins are supplied by Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers and come from New Mexico. With high elevation, dry air, limited instant population, and availability of water, the upland desert region is perfect for growing pumpkins.

Because of the unique farming qualities, the operations of the pumpkin patch were moved to the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico in 1989, after suffering a devastating crop failure from Hurricane Hugo. Over the past 25 years we have built a great relationship with the Navajo people. Our farm workers are 95% Native American. The full time farm staff is around 30 people and the season staff is in excess of 600. The harvest payroll alone is in excess of 1 million dollars. This has a tremendous impact in a region with 43% unemployment and a median family income of $20,000.
